What is Coaching?
There are many different definitions of coaching out there in the marketplace.
Our Philosophy:
We define Coaching as a Partnership designed to
Make a Positive Difference
and that there is a
System
in place
to
Account for and Manage the Success of the Partnership.
We define a Partnership with you as a relationship in which
We are Committed to Your Success And
You Are Committed to Our Success
as coaches.
Our Success as coaches is Your Success, i.e., We are Successful only if You Are Successful.
How does Coaching work?
We have two primary programs and
two primary target clients for which these programs are customized.
The two primary programs are:

Why Should I do Coaching?
Coaching is for people who are ready, willing and hungry to produce the desired results as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Coaching is for people who are ready, willing and hungry to work with a serious, committed partner (the coach) who will hold them to account and be accountable him/herself.
Coaching is for people who are
ready, willing and hungry to take massive actions to go past their usual stops.
Typical stops are (but not limited to):
-
Procrastination
-
Lack of Vision or a Long Term Plan
-
Lack of Clarity
-
Lack of Accountability to stay on track
-
Lack of Education, Training in Real Estate Investments
-
Lack of Sales and Negotiations skills
-
Lack of Leadership/Team/Coaching skills
-
Lack of Time Management skills
-
Lack of Organization skills
-
What are you stopped by?
The serious but crucial questions are:
-
What does it cost you to have these stops in your life?
-
How do your stops affect or impact other people in your community and your relationships with them?
-
Is it worth the time and the money and the energy to pursue coaching, if you knew that these stops could be resolved and were no longer issues?
If you are
interested in or committed to producing results in the domain of business and/or real estate investing, then you are in the right place or website.
If you are
interested in or committed to resolving issues around wealth and business quickly, then you are in the right place or website.
If you are
truly tired of NOT producing results, then coaching
IS the right thing for you to do NOW.
If you are interested in producing off-the-charts results with
an investment of your time, money and energy, then Coaching is
the right thing for you to do
At this point of reading, you may experience a slight need to move on or avoid this question of whether you should or should not do coaching. This is probably more of the same patterns of procrastination that have dominated your life.
We invite you to answer this question definitively for yourself.
Why tolerate something else incomplete in your life?
What does Alacrity Consulting Services, Inc. do?
Alacrity provides Coaching, Education and Trainings for the ongoing Creation of Wealth through Investing (Real Estate) and Businesses. Our Clients are Individuals and Organizations
What are your Philosophies around coaching?
Our
fundamental approach to coaching is simple: we believe that
the ultimate expression of success is about creating results.
We also believe that success is inherently a function of the
following vectors or causes:
a.
A high level of integrity
b. Leadership: A high effectiveness in communicating with
others
c. Leadership: A clear vision that genuinely
inspires and energizes
d.
A level of organization that permits extraordinary and "massive" results
e.
An effective set of practices to maintain energy (excitement
and centeredness) in your projects
We
believe that gaining a facility in creating results naturally
leads to well-being, the experience of being connected and
deeply related with people and the world.
We
believe that systems of accountability are indispensable in
the fulfillment of a high level of integrity.
We
also believe that what we present as a philosophy is a model
to be tried on by our clients and NOT the truth.
Success:
"The
achievement of something desired, planned, or attempted" Roget's II: The New Thesaurus, Third Edition.
Alacrity's
Definition of Success:
"Success
is defined by the Customer in Partnership with the Coach"
Effective: "Producing or able to produce a desired effect:
effectual,
efficacious,
efficient,
productive"
Roget's
II: The New Thesaurus, Third Edition.
Alacrity
shares this definition of Effective.
Integrity
Integrity
is one of the primary causes of success. In fact, Integrity
could be said to be the foundation of anything that really
works.
e.g. A building without a foundation cannot hold up
e.g. A wheel with even one of it’s spokes broken: ultimately
gives out especially when going fast over a long time.
What
is integrity?
“The state of being entirely whole” Roget’s
II: The New Thesaurus, Third Edition
What
does it mean to be “whole”?
“Lacking nothing essential or normal: complete, entire,
full, intact, integral, perfect”
Roget’s II: The New Thesaurus, Third Edition
Why
is this important? Why cant we just get into action and not
worry about being “whole”? Why does it matter
anyway?
This is a great question. People in our culture still to this
day, underestimate the power of integrity. It has become a
cliché.... the use of the word is sometimes avoided.
An
analogy would be a wheel. If a wheel had a spoke missing,
you could say that the wheel was not whole and complete and
hence had no integrity. That would not be a problem
if you were going 5 miles an hour using that wheel.
But
if you were going 80 miles an hour, that missing spoke is
a problem.
So
is there a relationship between integrity and performance? Between integrity and
attaining your dreams, wealth, true success .... happiness
and satisfaction?
We
assert very strongly yes.
In
our Creating
Certainty Workshop, we work from this
perspective of Integrity towards having you discover what
it is that will have you be successful and stop "spinning
your wheels".
In
our observations of our clients and of people out in the media,
we have seen that to be truly satisfied in life and business,
we have to pay serious attention to integrity.
We
seem to tolerate being without integrity: what if you had
to have surgery and your surgeon told you that he cannot promise
if he can stitch you back up properly and NOT leave a sponge
in your body? What if this was a common phenomenon? What if
your police department could not promise to uphold the peace?
What if your insurance agent could not promise being available
to you in the event of an accident within 24 hours? What if
you could not count on any elevator to work? Or traffic light?
Or power switch? What would life be like?
If
one were to extend this thinking to one's own life, one could
see the impacts of compromising or stepping over things on
their own life.
Get
the idea?
There are two points to get here.
a. Integrity promotes workability.
b. Integrity promotes a relationship based on trust.
and
Integrity promotes the fulfillment of what you truly want.
In
our Creating
Certainty Workshop, we work from this
perspective of Integrity towards having you discover what
it is that will have you be successful and stop "spinning
your wheels".
On
the plus side, when integrity shows up in a person, it is
unmistakable. You are immediately drawn towards supporting,
listening to and trusting such a person E.g. Mahatma Gandhi,
Buddha, Jesus Christ. Also, life just works. There is no uncertainty.
There is no fog. There is clarity, peace of mind, effectiveness,
a flow of money…. Things just work. You don’t
even have to look far: look to see in your own life, the moments
when you came from integrity and people stood by you.
Expressions/Rules
of integrity as we define it would be:
a.
Accounting for Promises
b. Working within the design of a system
c.
Having actions consistent with your communications
d. The
Ultimate Promise: Unto Yourself Be True
This
is the highest challenge: to define who you are in the matter
and act consistent with that. The question to ask
is "Who am I?" or "What is my real promise
to myself?" or "Do I have a promise?".
The next question to ask could be "Where am I lying
about what I am promising to myself?". We say
that being ineffective can be a function of not being true
to yourself - part or whole of the wind that blows your
boat off-course in the path towards your goal. This is a
more difficult situation to discern: it is the challenge
of higher integrity. e.g. A person who knows
that he hates his job and keeps complaining about it while
not doing anything about it, is unbeknownst to himself,
sabotaging himself in his quest for fulfillment in his life. When the truth is revealed, it provides an outstanding and
long-lasting effect on a person's effectiveness in life.
In
our Creating
Certainty Workshop, we work from this
perspective of Integrity towards having you discover what
it is that will have you be successful and stop "spinning
your wheels".
Leadership:
Communications
There
are facets of communications that we train people in:
a. Listening effectively – listening for the concerns
and commitments – getting into the other person’s
“world”: the world of their concerns and their
commitments.
b. Being highly proactive in the matter of getting your
point across and receiving other people’s communications
c. Using our model of Inspiring Communications: The Ship
Model of Communications to have an effective conversation
leading people into action naturally and gracefully.
d. We list a finite set of “karate moves” in
communications e.g. forgiving, accepting, requesting, promising,
expressing.
e. We list a finite set of cycles of communications: karate
moves in communications almost “beg” naturally
for equally effective responses in communications.
We
say that these facets put together cause a world of effectiveness
and success to be born.
Vision
This
incorporates the creation of a succinct expression of vision:
the Mission Statement and/or the Intended Results.
Included
is in this vector:
a.
Creating a vision that genuinely calls to and inspires you
b. Sticking to the vision within integrity
c.
We say and believe that we really do create the world that
we live in: this implies a high level of proactivity on
our part: everything that happens in our world is a function
of our creation. In this respect, we distinguish strongly
between blame and proactivity: in being proactive, we select
the world and the results that are produced in our environment.
Vision
is the declaration of an organization or person of the direction,
destination and course to be taken. It is the unifying
factor for the journey. Vision is your declaration of the
country or world or universe you are going to. Vision
engenders leadership and self expression: it is personal -
it is yours - nobody can deny you that right.
We
honor our customer's declaration of vision as we honor ours.
Systems
of Accountability
Accountable:
Capable of being explained or accounted for: decipherable, explainable, explicable, illustratable, interpretable, answerable
Roget's
II: The New Thesaurus, Third Edition.
Alacrity
shares this definition of accountable. We use the tools
of Promises, Actions and Results in our day-to-day coaching.
In addition, we say that accountability could be thought of
as comprising two facets:
a. Promises, actions and results that can be counted or measured
and hence be explained thoroughly
b. Being answerable for the promises, actions and results
We
say that these two facets provide a strong impetus for success
and effectiveness.
We
also say that the customer is ultimately at choice in the
matter of her/his accountability or for that matter in their
level of participation in the coaching program. We do
however promise that if the customer does
participate fully and is fully accountable in the coaching
program, that she/he will get the results that are desired.
We
assert that Systems of Accountability without doubt are indispensable
in the fulfillment of one's dreams, projects, goals or ambitions.
We believe that one can set up their own system of accountability
on their own: we do train our clients to do that when they
ask for it. We do also provide this system of accountability
in our individual coaching programs as well as in our group
programs.

accountability in your life learn more about our Individual

Giving
up The Suffering:
Long
Term Pain/Short Term Comfort
vs.
Long
Term Gain/Short Term Pain
We
assert that people have to fundamentally make the choice not
to suffer.
Most
people tolerate long term pain or suffering to avoid short
term pain or discomfort.
This
short term pain is associated with confronting what it is
that is stopping themselves from having what they want.
In
our Creating
Certainty Workshop, we invite people to
confront this short term pain or discomfort to experience
long term gain or joy or satisfaction in life.
"One
thing man will never give us is suffering"
Heard
in an interview with John Cleese
Organization
We
train our clients in maintaining the highest level of organization
and a healthy respect for structure. It is critical
to have the level of organization that will serve the flood
of results that is to be expected out of a coaching program. We have found that training people to organize both personally
and at the level of bigger groups is essential to maintaining
integrity, health and results when the flood occurs.
Managing
Energy in a Project
This
is our "secret weapon". No other coaching organization
utilizes these distinctions and tools to produce results.
It is what makes us distinctive. We train people and
organizations to distinguish what energy state their project
is in. We then train them in how to keep the energy moving
even in the face of breakdowns. A starting introduction
to these concepts is found in our
Creating
Certainty Seminar. In this seminar, we train you
in how to manage this energy at a personal level. We
are currently creating a seminar designed to manage this at
a higher level. Please stay tuned.
The Spiritual Component of our Trainings
Ultimately,
we believe that all coaching/training, even coaching/training
in the business realm has to deal with the spiritual component.
Even
in the business world, there is an "allusion" to
the need for a spiritual existence: you see it in the drive
to create a mission statement with values; you see it in the
drive to do trainings and to hire a great coach; you see it
in practically all of the corporate trainings.
We
do not espouse or force this spirituality on our clients.
We also make a strong distinction between religion/morality
and spirituality: In religion, we speak of an absolute truth.
In spirituality, each person seeks a truth that could be unique
to that person. We respect both points of view.
More
interestingly, we are beginning to see this desire for spiritual
expression in the complaints that are increasingly more prevalent
in the business community. These complaints are in the
form of questions (sometimes pleadingly or painfully expressed
with a longing for relief in the form of some answer... any
answer):
"How
can I find peace in my work amidst all the chaos and politics?"
"How
can I manage my time with so many demands on me?"
"How
do I keep my spouse happy and at the same time nurture my
career?"
"I
don't feel free - how can I experience freedom again?"
"How
can I make more money and feel less guilty?"
"Freedom
and making money don't seem to go together ... do they?"
... and
the list goes on ... now if you were to look: What would
your question be?
At
Alacrity, we recognize these questions as a longing for a
time ... a time (for most of us a time in our earlier childhood
or adult years): a time when you were more clear in
your thinking: unencumbered by the load on your mind and in
your heart.
How
do we restore that integrity and clarity in our hearts and
minds?
These
are the questions that we address powerfully in our new seminar:
Creating Certainty: for more information, please click here:
Creating Certainty Seminar.
The Joke about Time Management
The
joke is this:
People
who "want" to manage their time, cannot seem to
"find" the time to manage their time.
We
assert that there is a natural resistance to "managing" time. More specifically there is a resistance to being highly
proactive in being the source or originator of everything
that happens in your life: we would rather be comfortable
and not take that risk: more is said of this during our new
seminar: Creating Certainty.
What
if we managed units of being/soul/essence rather than units
of time i.e. what if we managed units of being/soul/essence
instead of the tick-tock of the clock or in numbers? What
if we brought back the meaningfulness of time?
But
.... How would we manage units of being rather than units
of time?
We
propose one way to do this in our new seminar:
Creating
Certainty
In
this seminar, we propose a new model to measure, manage and
use units of being/soul/essence. In the seminar, we
talk about Sources. Your Sources are the entities or
domains in your life that naturally give you power, clarity
and aliveness. When you "manage" or measure your
life from these sources, you find yourself naturally doing
and accomplishing: there is little resistance because your
identity finds the resistance is unnecessary: the excitement
supersedes the reluctance to take risks. In the seminar, we
will train you in how to align/arrange these sources to be
expressed in your day to day life.

accountability in your life learn more about our Individual

Freedom, High Proactivity and Peace: Pure Presence
Freedom,
High Proactivity and Peace of Mind go hand in hand. They imply each other.
We assert that
Freedom stems authentically from a freedom to be present:
from being aware and conscious. Freedom is steeped in
the ability and the capacity to experience being present fully
anywhere, anyhow, under any circumstances. Thus someone
who is truly free is someone who does not get swayed (leading
to not being present or being alert) in the face of a
problematic set of circumstances. When one is in this
state: Pure presence occurs.
High
Proactivity: the capacity to be completely responsible for
one's life is the highest level of this quality. When one
is completely responsible for his or her life: one does not
blame, one only responds in a manner that is highly proactive
i.e. a determination to resolve. Blame does not enter
the equation. Blame is not even in the vicinity or in the
same universe: this is critical to get and to understand and
to internalize fully. When one is in this state: Pure
presence occurs.
Peace
of Mind: this occurs out of a surrender. Not a "giving
up". But of surrender; of letting go of a position.
Any position: typically one of insisting or knowing that one
is right and another is wrong: or that one is good and another
is wrong. The presence of someone being righteous has
a particular quality: a quality of non-inspiration.
ASIDE:
We also assert that when one has Integrity (see above section
on Integrity), one is present to Freedom, High Proactivity
and Peace of Mind as well as Pure Presence.
What
is Pure Presence? This we assert is the presence of our soul,
spirit or divinity.

Learning to Dance: Aliveness, Creativity and Clarity
"The
world is too much with us; late and soon,
Getting
and spending, we lay waste our powers ..."
- William Wordsworth
There
is a letting go that needs to happen in our world today. Even and particularly in the world of the deeply practical
i.e. in the world of business and politics. This letting go
involves letting go of at least these survival based needs
(we assume that the reader is not living in an emergency situation):
a.
The need to control or avoid failure
True
maturity is reached when one can start embracing accountability
and past failures. When we look back historically on
our failures: when we truly look at our past failures and
account for what happened and what we decided about our life,
first the experience of freedom naturally unfolds and then
aliveness, clarity and creativity.
b.
The need to hold on to a position or opinion
There
is an old saying: "One thing man can never give up is
their suffering". We would rather suffer than give up
our opinions or positions about life.
c.
The need to understand versus to experience
A
good example is love: To experience love versus to understand
love: which would you prefer? To talk about making lots
of money or to directly experience it. To talk about
accomplishment or to directly experience it. How can one experience
it without achieving it? Through "meaningful" conversation:
coaching conversations are meaningful and impactful conversations. Call us today to gain an immediate experience of this:
Free
Consultation
d. The need to resist allowing your self
to experience the natural flow of life
There is a natural flow of life.
We either pay attention to this or not.
We spend a volume of time concerned about things that are
really of no concern:
Try this experiment:
Take a day off work. Describe your day in by writing yourself
a note. Put an entry in your calendar exactly one year
from now: a reminder to read this note that you will keep.
Imagine what you would experience if you read that note again
one year from now: what will you experience? Will the concern
about taking that particular day off be still with you or
significantly hamper you one day from now? Unconvinced,
do the same exercise but imagine reading the note 5 years from
now, 10 years from now, 20 years from now, 100 years from now,
1000 years from now in another lifetime? What do you
see? Do the same exercise with any of your current concerns:
money, relationships, etc. What do you see?
